Dr. Janis S. DiMonaco, Ph.D

Dr. Janis DiMonaco is the Founder and former President and CEO of HMC HealthWorks. Currently she is the managing partner of Care Clinic+ and strategic advisor to IBH and HMC HealthWorks.

Active in the healthcare field for over 40 years, Dr. DiMonaco has been instrumental in the development, implementation and integration of HMC HealthWorks programs in the following segments: Taft-Hartley, public sector, employer self-insured plans and joint labor/management programs. Through integration of HMC HealthWorks programs with other healthcare providers for plan sponsors, clients have received a full-range of seamless, “best-in-class” and best practices in healthcare management services.

Under Dr. DiMonaco’s leadership and direction, the organization provided clients with customized early intervention and managed care programs for workers’ compensation along with development and administration of a medical surgical PPO for a coalition of Taft-Hartley Funds. The system also served as a workers’ compensation network for many of the union employers.
In founding HMC HealthWorks, Dr. DiMonaco has been able to provide the healthcare industry a national company offering chronic disease management, wellness/well-being, and prevention programs, employee assistance and managed behavioral healthcare programs, pharmacy benefit management, disability management, integrated healthcare management and other healthcare cost management programs. Since inception, Dr. DiMonaco’s mission is to improved health outcomes for the plan participants and reduced plan spend for plan sponsors.

Dr. DiMonaco’s role in working at the Family Programs Directorate at Headquarters, United States Army in Europe, was the development and implementation of the Military and Family Life Consultant program.
Through the program, she provided solution-focused, problem-solving counseling services to soldiers and their family members to help relieve the stress and hardship as a result of the Global War on Terrorism. This program has since expanded to include all Military Services worldwide.
Dr. DiMonaco is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). She received her Master’s Degree and a Certificate of Graduate Study in Guidance and Psychological Services from Springfield College. She was awarded her Ph.D. in Psychology from California Western University.

Dr. DiMonaco is board member of America’s Agenda as well as an advisor to the Board of IBH/HMC HealthWorks and Solidaritus Health She is also a former member of the IFEBP Health Care Management Committee and a frequent presenter at IF conferences and other professional organizations.
